A QUICK UPDATE

Yesterday I had one of the most fabulous days so far. My Sunday off began with a lesson on how to drive big angry Antarctic tractors. I tried to write my name in the snow with the tracks, but gave up after T, having decided that it was more fun just to drive fast.

Next up, I spend the afternoon skijouring, getting towed on my snowboard behind a skidoo through the lovely fresh powder snow that's fallen recently. With the help of our ever obliging vehicle manager, we built a jump and launched ourselves stylishly onto our arses, repeatedly. It was fun.

After dinner I finally put my new found kite flying skills (if you can call them that!) together with my snowboard, and managed to spend more time on my feet than on my arse! I can now kiteboard (slowly) in one way, and back again! It was amazing, and I can't wait to get back out there, which is why, in very lazy fashion, I am going to write no more and instead recommend the blogs of my much more diligent colleagues Dave, Ant and Richard as a means to finding out what I've been up to the rest of the time (including surviving my first night camping out).

Bye for now, more as soon as the wind's too weak/strong for kiting!
